Signs of Kidney stones diagnose and prevent

stonesKidney stones are a very common and increasing problem,in this age of fast and easy living full of junk food and seemingly less amount of time available for exercise.Experts state that many of us have the chance of developing the signs of kidney stones at some time in our lives but men are 4 times more likely to develop signs of kidney stones.Prevention as true as ever is easier than the cure,If people were to pay more attention to the way that they eat and live their lives then the chances of them developing kidney stones would reduce greatly. There is also great evidence that after successful treatment sufferers chances of developing further signs of kidney stones in the future are high so even more reason to rethink their lives to prevent this happening.

Treatment

The first thing that you need to do if you suspect that you may be showing signs of kidney stones is visit your doctor.Treatment will be a lot simpler if detected early and it is better to be safe than sorry. If you are not yet convinced then try to speak to someone who has suffered from kidney stones, believe me,they can be excruciatingly painful the kind of pain that you wouldn`t wish on your worst enemy.Don`t make the mistake of thinking, “oh i`ll just leave it, it will just pass”, believe me it wont,it will just get worse and worse if left.

Causes

You may have an increased risk of developing kidney stones if you:
have a family history of kidney stones
are aged between 20 and 50
are taking certain medicines – for example indinavir (in the treatment of HIV infection) and taking too many laxatives or taking them too often
have only one kidney, or an abnormally shaped kidney
eat a diet high in protein
don’t drink enough fluids

symptoms

Many kidney stones show little or no symptoms untill they either cause a blockage or enter the ureters (ureters are the tubes that connect each kidney to the bladder)
You may have traces of blood in your urine or it may become cloudy.
You may experience sharp pains or acheing to one or both sides of your back.
Feel a need to urinate more, often resulting in a burning sensation when urine is passed.
You may well feel sick
if you experience any of these symptoms, consult your doctor as you could also have some infection.

Treatment
There are many treatments associated with kidney stones, depending on the type and cause with many able to be treated without the need for surgery. One of the most useful pieces of advice that i could give would be to drink as much water as possible and seek medical advice immediately.
To avoid further complications when it comes to kidney stones, it is best that you arm yourself with all the knowledge that you can get-especially if you think that you are prone to the condition.
